Dear Charlotte :
Your letter to Mayor Linke dated December 7th requesting
certain information has been forwarded to me for a
response.
A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the Secretary of
the Commission along with a Certified Copy of Ordinance No.
404 Amending the Mounds View Charter on February 10, 1986.
I am also including a copy of that Ordinance with this
letter for your information.
In response to your second request I would be more than
happy to mail out amended copies of the City' s letter to all
members of the Charter Commission, however, we have not been
provided with the names and addresses of the current members
of the Charter Commission and are, therefore, unable to
comply with your request. Upon receipt of an updated list
of Charter Commission members, copies of the amended Charter
will go out immediately thereafter.
Should the Charter Commission ever require any information
from the City of Mounds View, please feel free to contact me
and I will attempt to comply with your request as quickly as
possible.

CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4. 02 OF THE HOME
RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain:
SECTION I . The Mounds View Charter Commission met on
December 19, 1985 and unanimously approved an
amendment to the Home Rule Charter to comply with
the provisions of Minnesota Law relating to the
timelines for filing for candidacy for local office.
SECTION II. Chapter 4, Section 4. 02 is amended to read
as follows :
Section 4. 02 Filing for Office . No earlier than
€erty-tae fifty-six days nor later than twenty-
eight forty-two days before any municipal election,
any resident of the city qualified under state law
for elective office may by filing an affidavit and
by paying a filing fee to the Clerk-Administrator in
an amount as set by ordinance have his/her name
placed on the municipal election ballot.
SECTION III . This ordinance shall take effect 90 days
after the date of its publication.
Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this
27th day of January, 1986.
Read and passed by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View this 10 day of February , 1986.
