Two names were inadvertently ommitted on that letter. Arlene Werdien should have been listed as one of the persons whose term expires October 31, 1994 and, Ruth White should have been listed as having a term to expire October 31, 1996. I have corrected the letter and sent you the original. Fitzpatrick Chief Judge of District Court 1350 Courthouse St. Paul, MN 55102 RE: Mounds View Charter Commission/ Annual Report Dear Judge Fitzpatrick: In compliance with Minnesota Statutes 410. 05, Subd. 2, I am submitting the Mounds View Charter Commission's Annual Report. The Commission met on the following dates in 1993 as the process of reviewing, revising and updating the Charter continued: January 12 , January 26, February 9, February 23 , March 19 , March 23 , April 27, May 11, May 25, June 8, June 22 , September 14, • September 28 , October 12, October 26 an November 16, 1993 . The Commission adopted By-Laws which we are enclosing for the Court's file: The following officers were elected in January for a two-year term: Len Burgers as Chair; Sue Hankner as Vice- Chair; Julie Trude as Secretary. The approved minutes of the Charter Commission Meetings are kept in a special binder at City Hall for public review and as the permanent record. Each member of the Commission also has a • special binder to keep Charter minutes and materials together. These minutes could be copied for the Court's file, however, due to the amount of material involved they are not included with this report. Please contact Michele Severson at Mounds View City Hall for a complete set of Minutes if you desire a complete record on hand. The Charter Commission is nearing completion of its re-drafting of the 12 Chapters of the Mounds View Charter. Upon completion of the re-write, the Commission intends to hold a public hearing to explain the revisions, many of which are intended to update the Charter and bring it into conformity with changes in State Law. The approved re-draft will also be submitted for review by the legal staff of the League of Minnesota Cities. Finally, the re-drafted Charter will be submitted to the Mounds View City Council for its consideration and adoption. The Charter Commission has scheduled meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of January, February and March to complete this process. Additional meetings will be scheduled and held as required. The annual meetings are set in our By-laws for the 2nd Thursdays of March and October.
