CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BLAINE REGARDING STREET
AUTHORITY FOR CORAL SEA STREET NE SOUTH OF 85T" AVENUE
WHEREAS, Coral Sea Street NE south of 85th Avenue lies partly within
the City of Blaine and partly within the City of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, the City of Blaine has always maintained this segment of
street; and
WHEREAS, with the upgrade and reconstruction of Coral Sea Street
associated with the Medtronic development, the City of Blaine thought it would be
appropriate to formalize an agreement between Blaine and Mounds View
regarding the authority and maintenance of Coral Sea Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Blaine has submitted a draft Joint Powers
Agreement regarding street authority for Coral Sea Street which assigns sole
authority and maintenance of Coral Sea Street to the City of Blaine; and
WHEREAS, this agreement has been reviewed by the City's legal
counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mounds View City Council
of the City of, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
That the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Blaine regarding
street authority for Coral Sea Street NE South of 85th Avenue is
hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to
execute said agreement.
