CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE BROADBAND SERVICE FOR THE
COMMUNITY CENTER BANQUET FACILITY AND LOBBY AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View desires to have broadband service available for
patrons of the banquet facility; and
WEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this at a work session; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is cost effective to purchase service
from Comcast for a two year period for $75 per month with the cost to be shared with other
tenants of the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has also determined that it is beneficial to provide wireless
access points for the banquet center and the lobby area.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Mayor to
sign atwo-year contract with Comcast for broadband service, staff is directed to provide wireless
access points for the banquet center and the lobby area and increase budget line 252-4350-3100
by $300 for the remainder of 2007.
