CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FROST BREAKER
WHEREAS, Public Works has been operating without a frost breaker for
several years; and
WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton periodically assists Mounds View
with our frost breaking needs or Mounds View has scraped through the frost; and
WHEREAS, utilizing the City of New Brighton for our frost breaking needs
is not always possible or timely; and
WHEREAS, scraping through the frost is time consuming, difficult, and
potentially dangerous; and
WHEREAS, a frost breaker attachment will be used in the summer for
road maintenance and other various tasks; and
WHEREAS, the adopted 2007 Budget has $5,000.00 allotted in the
enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment department, capitol
equipment (700-4823-7030).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
That the proposal for the purchase of a Hydraulic Breaker from
Bobcat in the amount of $5,529.00 plus tax is here by approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Bobcat.
3. That the funds to finance this purchase will be derived from the
Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment
department, capitol equipment account (account 700-4823-7030),
and that any additional funds that may be required are to be
derived from the Enterprise Fund, water infrastructure and
equipment department contingency account.
