A Resolution Approving Additional Compensation for
Assistant to the City Administrator
WHEREAS, City Administrator Kurt Ulrich has resigned effective September 13,
2007; and
WHEREAS, according to the policy adopted in Resolution 5626, an employee
may serve in an interim capacity to meet the needs of the vacant position with the
approval of the City Administrator and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 5626 establishes that additional compensation may be
authorized for employees serving in an interim capacity taking on higher classification
duties; and,
WHEREAS, there was a consensus at the September 4, 2007, Work Session
that the Assistant to the City Administrator be compensated at 10% above her current
rate of pay for these additional, higher classification administrative duties; and
WHEREAS, additional, higher classification responsibilities assigned to Desaree
Crane will include supervision of the Receptionist and Cable TV Coordinator.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council
does hereby authorize additional compensation to the Assistant to the City
Administrator Desaree Crane at a rate of ten percent (10%) above her rate of pay
effective September 14, 2007.
