CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE HIRING OF MICHAEL HANSON
TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the establishment of an eligibility list
for the position of Police Officer for current vacancies in the Police Department, and the
City of Mounds View has approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility register
to fill these vacancies, and;
WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience
scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, a thorough background investigation,
physical examination and a psychological examination, and;
WHEREAS, the Police Chief has certified the eligibility list for the opening, and
Michael Hanson is the highest scoring candidate on the list, pending successful
completion of background investigation, physical and psychological examinations, and;
WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Michael Hanson, and the
Chief of Police recommends that he be appointed to the position of Police Officer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Michael Hanson to the
position of Police Officer at the step two rate of pay ($29.33/hour) as indicated in the Law
Enforcement Labor Services contract.
