STATE OF MINNESOTA
Authorizing Z Systems, Inc. to Provide Equipment and Professional Services for the
City Council Chambers Audio/Video System Update
WHEREAS, the cable control room and related audio and video equipment is
antiquated with many components 20 to 25 years old; and
WHEREAS, staff has been working with several consultants and North Suburban
Access Corporation (NSAC) to develop a final design and equipment list for incorporation
into a Request for Proposal (RFP); and
WHEREAS, 16 Requests for Proposal were distributed and 6 responses were
received: and
WHEREAS, the budget establish for this project is $190,000 in the Cable Special
Revenue Fund; and
WHEREAS, staff concluded that Z Systems, Inc. had the proposal that best met our
requirements and needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
authorizes Z Systems, Inc. to provide equipment and professional services for the City
Council Chambers audio/video system update at a cost not to exceed $169,637. The Mayor
and City Administrator are hereby authorized to enter into a purchase agreement/contract
with Z Systems, Inc. for this purpose.
