STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT WITH VERIZON
WIRELESS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A GENERATOR AT THE WATER
TOWER SITE
WHEREAS, Verizon Wireless has approached the City of Mounds View
with a proposal to install a 30kW, diesel powered generator; and
WHEREAS, this would be used as emergency power for the existing
equipment that Verizon Wireless leases space for at the Water Tower site,
located at 2434 Bronson Drive; and
WHEREAS, the proposal would require that the original contract be
amended; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement amendment has been reviewed, and
approved by the City`s legal counsel; and
WHEREAS, lease agreement amendment provides for an additional
$300.00 per month, with an annual 4% escalator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City Council approves an amendment to the Verizon Wireless
contract for antennas on the water tower.
2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to execute
said contract amendment.
