CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OR RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING TO ADVERTISE FOR THE
CITY ADMINISTRATOR POSITION AND RECOMMENDING AN OUTSIDE
CONSULTANT FOR THE HIRING PROCESS
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Administrator resigned effective September
13, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Administration Department has a need to
fill a full time City Administrator position; and
WHEREAS, Staff has discussed the hiring process for this position with the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, due to the workload of existing employees and the desirability of
keeping on schedule, Staff recommends using an outside consultant to assist in the
search and hire of a new City Administrator; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recommends to appoint Springsted, Inc., an outside
consultant, to assist the City in the search and hire of a new Mounds View City
Administrator and direct City Staff in preparing and posting an advertisement for the
position.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View authorizes staff to prepare and post an advertisement for afull-time exempt
position of City Administrator and authorizing the appointment of Springsted, Inc., to
assist staff in the search and hire of a new Mounds View City Administrator, at a cost not
to exceed $14,700.
Adopted is 22nd day of October, 2007.
