STATE OF MINNESOTA
ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE 2018
GREENFIELD AND GROVELAND TENNIS AND BASKETBALL COURT
REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, Plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of the tennis and basketball
courts at Greenfield and Groveland Parks were approved and authorized for bid; and
WHEREAS, Bituminous Roadways, Inc. submitted the lowest bid in the amount of
$197,575.00; and
WHEREAS, City Council approved a construction contract with Bituminous, to perform the
tennis and basketball court rehabilitation project for a total of $218,905.25 in Resolution 8978; and
WHEREAS, Bituminous has successfully completed all project construction and met all other
contract requirements for the Project with a substantial completion date of September 30, 2018 and a
final construction cost of $207,408.00; and
WHEREAS, City Staff recommends accepting the completed construction work and issuing
final payment for $94,166.00 to Bituminous Roadways Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. All work completed under the contract between the City and Bituminous Roadways Inc. for the
2018 Greenfield and Groveland Tennis and Basketball Court Rehabilitation Project is hereby
accepted and approved.
2. The Finance Director is authorized to issue final payment of $94,164.00 to Bituminous Roadways
Inc., account 451-4470-7050.
