HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 7199RESOLUTION 7199 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDERING THE PROJECT, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTABLISHING A BID DATE FOR THE WELL No. 6 REHABILITATION PROJECT. WHEREAS, should the Council wish to proceed with this project, the next step in the public improvement process is to order the project; and WHEREAS, the financing for this project will be derived entirely from the City of Mounds View Enterprise Fund (Account 700-4823-7050); and WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared in accordance with City standards and are consistent with specifications utilized for other recent well rehabilitation projects; and WHEREAS, should the Council wish to proceed, the next step in the engineering process is to approve plans and specifications and set a bid date; and WHEREAS, as per state statute, with an estimated contract amount in excess of $50,000, publication must be made ten (10) days before the last day to submit bids; and WHEREAS, a January 9, 2008, 10:00 a.m. bid date will provide ample time to provide the required notification to contractors as per state statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Said improvements are hereby ordered and shall hereafter be known and referred to as the Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project. Said ordering of the improvements shall be valid for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date of adoption of this resolution. 2. The cost of said improvements shall be funded entirely from the City of Mounds View Enterprise Fund (Account 700-4823-7050}. 3. The plans and specifications for the Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project are hereby approved as the plans and specifications in accordance with which said project shall be implemented. 4. That a date to receive bids for said project is hereby established on January 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. 5. That Staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the City's official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, at least ten (10) days before the date for opening of bids, a notice to bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law.
