CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE BID DOCUMENTS, SETTING A BID DATE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT GENERATOR PURCHASE
WHEREAS, on August 6, 2007 the development of an emergency power
plan and generator purchase was discussed; and
WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council made a motion
authorizing assistance in administrating the purchase of atrailer-mounted
generator; and
WHEREAS, bid documents for the purpose of receiving bids for the
consideration of purchase of atrailer-mounted generator have been prepared;
and
WHEREAS, as per state statute, with an estimated contract amount in
excess of $100,000, publication must be made at least three weeks before the
last day to submit bids; and
WHEREAS, a February 14, 2008, 10:00 a.m. bid date will provide ample
time to provide the required notification to contractors as per state statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
The bid documents, including specifications for atrailer-mounted
generator for the Emergency Management Generator Purchase,
are hereby approved.
2. A date to receive bids for said trailer-mounted generator is hereby
established as February 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
3. That Staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the New
Brighton Bulletin at least three weeks before the last day to submit
bids, a notice to bidders as required by law.
