CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLTUION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH
AND APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES TO THE CHURCH'S "MOUNDS VIEW
SERVICE PROJECT FUND" COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church has generously supported activities that
have benefited the residents of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, Bethlehem Baptist Church would like to continue that support by
making a contribution to the City of Mounds View of $16,548.50 to support the following
below:
1. $5,260.00 to support family-friendly activities at the 2008 Mounds View
Festival in the Park;
2. $4,265.25 to the Mounds View Park and Recreation Department for
ongoing park improvement projects;
3. $4,265.25 to support the YMCA's Y-Partners program run out of the
Mounds View Community Center to provide assistance and scholarships;
4. $2,758.00 to the EDA fund for activities that support the economic climate
of the City of Mounds View.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
gratefully acknowledges and accepts the donation of $16,548.50 from Bethlehem
Baptist Church and amends the 2008 Budget accordingly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City
Council appoints the following individuals or positions to serve on the Mounds View
Service Project Fund Committee:
1. Dan Weldon, YMCA
2. Steve Dazenski, Parks Supervisor
3. John Kroeger, Park and Rec Commission
4. AI Hull, City Council
5. Jim Ericson, Interim Clerk-Administrator
