STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR THE
FULL TIME POSITION OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, due to a resignation of Greg Lee, there is an immediate need to fill
the position of Public Works Director in the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, Staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Public
Works Director immediately; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department will not be able to support the city's
goals and their associated pubic improvement projects at our current staffing level.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View authorizes staff to prepare and post an advertisement for afull-time exempt
position of "Public Works Director" within the Public Works Department.
NOW, MAY IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that once a qualified candidate is
selected for the Public Works Director, staff would seek authorization from the City Council
to hire the individual.
