STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING MODIFIED CITY HALL HOURS ON TRIAL BASIS FOR MONTHS OF
JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST 2019
WHEREAS, The City Council adopted a strategic plan that included strategies to
increase community engagement and adopt human resource polices to help recruit and
retain quality employees; and
WHEREAS, City Hall traffic on Fridays, especially the afternoon is relatively slow;
and
WHEREAS, flexibility of schedule can be a highly valued benefit that carries
minimal if any fiscal impact; and
WHEREAS, conducting a trial period for modified hours will enable council, staff
and the community the ability to assess the impact.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View approves modifying City Hall hours from the current schedule of five days
per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 pm to four days per week from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM starting
June 3, 2019 and ending on August 30, 2019.
