CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE REPLACEMENT OF ROOF TOP UNIT #4 at CITY HALL
WHEREAS, Public Works Department is responsible for the building maintenance at all
City facilities, this includes the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) of the buildings;
and
WHEREAS, City Hall RTU #24 after 21 years or service had the compressor and fan
failed; and
WHEREAS, Staff has received a quote from Trane Building Services to install a new RTU
at City Hall for a total of $13,000; and
WHEREAS, this repair is not budget and requires a 2019 Budget adjustment of $13,000
to the Special Project Funds account 480-4180-7030.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Approves the proposal from Trane Building Services to install a new RTU at City Hall
for a total of $13,000.
2. Approves a 2019 Budget adjustment to the Special Project Fund account 480-4180-
7030 of $13,000 for the necessary replacement of RTU #4 at City Hall.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
