CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW

STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZE STORMWATER PIPE REPAIRS AT 8240 SUNNYSIDE ROAD
WHEREAS, the Public Works Staff investigated a potential problem with the storm sewer
system at 8240 Sunnyside Road; and
WHEREAS, Staff determined that two sections of pipe and the structure would need to be
replaced; and
WHEREAS, Staff contacted two companies to provide a quote to complete the necessary
repair work and they are as follows:
• Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. $16,950.00
• Belair Sitework Services $18,343.00
WHEREAS, funding for this work would come from the Storm Water Fund, 745-4415-
5150, which includes $110,000.00 in the adopted 2019 budget for storm sewer repairs and
maintenance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the quote from Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. ,of
Nowthen MN, for $16,950.00 for Storm Sewer Repairs at 8240 Sunnyside Road. The
City Council approves a 7% contingency of $1,186.50 be included for any unforeseen
problems that may arise during this repair for a total of $18,136.50.
2. Funding will be from the 2019 adopted budget, Storm Water Fund, 745-4415-5150.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
