CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A Resolution Authorizing the Hire of Michael Strand to the Position of
Part Time Cable TV Technician
WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Part Time Cable TV
Technician was advertised; and,
WHEREAS, twelve applications were received for the position and six applicants were
chosen for interview; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Strand's skills and experience were determined to most closely
match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Part Time Cable TV Technician job
description; and,
WHEREAS, reference checks, driver's license check, and criminal background checks
have been completed. on Mr. Strand, and all checks are satisfactory; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Strand will begin employment on July 30, 2008 at Step 3 of the wage
scale as adopted herein below.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council appoints Mr.
Michael Strand to the position of Part Time Cable TV Technician.
NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves the salary scale for
the Part Time Cable TV Technician position as indicated herein, with a starting salary for Mr.
Strand at $14.32/hour (Step 3), with an increase to Step 4 of the salary range after one year of
employment, and Step 5 after two years of employment subject to City Council authorization.
