APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT NO. 3 WITH VERIZON
WIRELESS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A GENERATOR AT THE WATER
TOWER SITE
WHEREAS, On September 24, 2007, the Mounds View City Council approved
Amendment #2 to the Site Lease Agreement with Verizon Wireless to install a diesel
powered generator; and
WHEREAS, the generator would be used as emergency power for the existing
equipment that Verizon Wireless leases space for at the Water Tower site, located at 2434
Bronson Drive; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the approval of Amendment #2 and installation of the
generator, Verizon requested approval to install a gas service line across City property to
the generator; and
WHEREAS, the request necessitated preparation of Amendment #3 to the approved
site lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement amendment has been reviewed and approved by
the City's legal counsel; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement amendment provides for an additional one-time
compensation of $2,000 to cover the costs to prepare and review said amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City Council approves an amendment to the Verizon Wireless contract for
antennas on the water tower.
2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to execute said
contract amendment.
