SUMMARY OF COMMISSION ACTIVITY: December, 2006 - November 2007
December 12, 2006
Discussion of amendments to Chapter 5 and continued adjustment of flow
diagrams and timelines. Discussion of the 2006 Summary letter. J. Thomas
was elected Commission Chair. B. Doty was elected Vice Chair with J. Miller
as 2nd Vice Chair. B. Thomas was elected Secretary.
January 9, 2007
Continued discussion of Chapter 5 revisions.
**January 11, 2007**
Commission members attended a Lino Lakes Charter Commission by
invitation to explain the process the Mounds View Commission went through
to achieve a successful ballot measure for levy limits as well as current efforts
for referenda.
February 13, 2007
Presentation by City Staff regarding a request from the City Council to amend
charter language pertaining to Administrative Offenses. Continuing
discussion of amendments to Chapter 5 in draft Resolution 2007-01.
March 13, 2007
Discussion of resident request to address the Street & Utility Improvements
referendum language in Chapter 8. Adoption of Resolution 2007-01
pertaining to Chapter 5. Discussion of Commission priorities for 2007.
April 10, 2007
Discussion of outstanding charter issues and requests and their priorities.
May 8, 2007
Adoption of Resolution 2007-02 regarding Commission meeting dates.
Adoption of Resolution 2007-01a as amended by request from the Council.
June 12, 2007
Discussion and Adoption of Resolution 2007-01b after further amendment by
request from the Council. Adoption of memo to Council asking for direction.
Discussion of Section 8.04 regarding street and utility improvements.

amendments to Charter language regarding distribution of the City Newsletter. Continued
discussion regarding Administrative Offense language. Continued discussion of Chapter 8
as well as requests to the Council for direction.

Adoption of 2007-05 regarding distribution of the City Newsletter. Continued discussion
regarding Administrative Offense revisions and Street & Utility Improvement language.
November 18, 2007
Discussion with City Staff regarding Administrative Offense revisions as well as plans for a
joint meeting with the City Council. Continued discussion of Chapter 8.
