CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVING OF UP TO $2,000,000 ZERO INTERST LOAN
FUNDS FROM THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY TO FUND
PORTIONS OF THE HOPP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Council adopted the Water Preservation
Program in the spring of 2019; and,
WHEREAS, components of the program include reducing the amount of inflow and
infiltration into the wastewater system; and,
WHEREAS, televising and slip lining (or complete replacement) of lateral sewer
lines will, over time; will reduce the amount of infiltration into the system; and,
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has a zero interest loan
program that can be used to fund the inspection and rehabilitation costs; and,
Whereas, the City of Mounds View has been awarded the loan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council does
hereby accept the loan, up to the $2,000,000 threshold and authorize approval of the
Loan Agreement with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
