CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PROMOTION OF BEN ZENDER TO THE
POSITION OF DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a promotion to fill the vacancy of
Deputy Police Chief in the Police Department, and the City of Mounds View has approved
the procedures to fill these vacancies, and;
WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience
scoring, oral board interview, a psychological and leadership assessment, and;
WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Ben Zender, and the Chief
of Police recommends that he be appointed to the position of Deputy Police Chief.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Ben Zender to the
position of Deputy Police Chief effective upon the first day of his return from his work
related medical leave at step 3 rate of pay ($50.28/hour) and subject to six month
probationary period. Step 4 will occur at one year from the date of promotion.
