MEETING Minutes
1. CALL TO ORDER 6:30

5. PUBLIC INPUT - None
6. STAFF REPORTS
A. YMCA – Thomas discussed Youth in Government, Teen Leadership Club, Registration open
for summer programs, and Rally Day – March 3rd. Coach of the Year nominations are due by
Feb 28. The Community Center will be closed for cleaning March 12th- 18th. Dale asked about
Music in the parks and possible addition of Food Trucks. Blaze Soccer has inquired about
widening the field at Silver View, but after some discussion it was decided that would not be a
good idea.
B. Public Works / Forestry – Don reported on current works for the Staff, including Flooding of
rinks, Snow Removal, tree trimming, and the move to the new Public Works Facility. Also noted
was the continued work by the County on the drainage ditch in Silver View Park, and continued
progress on the renovation at Random Park.
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Forestry – City Parks, and Green Spaces – We had much discussion on the wording of the
new Forestry guidelines, and in the end decided we really need to focus on Goals rather than
wording.
B. Greenfield / Groveland tennis courts – Current plan is one court, centered between the lights.
8. NEW BUSINESS: Coach of the Year
