In the Matter of the Appointment
CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDER APPOINTING
CHARTER COMMISSION COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, the Mounds View Charter Commission approved an amendment to its
Bylaws reducing the number of Commission members from eleven to nine; and,
WHEREAS, assuming a nine-member Commission, there are six current members and
three vacancies on the Mounds View Charter Commission, notices of the vacancies were provided,
and four applications were received and reviewed by the court; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 410.05, subds.1-3, an Order is required for
appointment to fill the open positions;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:
1. The court approves Mounds View Charter Commission’s amended Bylaws
reducing the number of Commission members from eleven to nine pursuant to Minn. Stat. §
410.05, subd.1 (“The commission shall be composed of not less than seven nor more than 15
members, each of whom shall be a qualified voter of the city. The size of the commission shall be
determined within the above limits by the court”).
2. The following applicants are appointed as members of the Mounds View Charter
Commission for terms to expire on October 31, 2018, which expiration date maintains overlapping
terms for approximately 50% of the Commission members: Brandon D. Clawson, 8404
Sunnyside Road, Mounds View, MN, 55112; Gregory L. Oberg, 8340 Pleasant View Drive,

Mounds View, MN, 55112; Marisa Reyes-Johnson, 7851 Sunnyside Road, Mounds View, MN,
55112.
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER ORDERED that:
THE COURT ADMINISTRATOR of the Second Judicial District shall immediately by
mail notify the members of the Mounds View Charter Commission notice of these appointments.
Additionally, the Court Administrator shall notify by mail the appointees of this Order and their
individual responsibility to file the Oath. Such appointment is to be fully effective upon the filing
of the appropriate Oath with the Court Administrator of the Second Judicial District Court for
Ramsey County, Minnesota.
