AMENDING SECTION 3.20(D) OF THE PERSONNEL MANUAL TO INCREASE THE
AMOUNT OF SICK LEAVE ALLOWED TO BE CONVERTED FOR HEALTH CLUB
DUES
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted and amends from time to time a
personnel manual; and
WHEREAS, section 3.20 D provides employees the opportunity to convert sick
leave time to cash for the specific purpose of paying health club membership dues; and
WHEREAS, that amount is set at $55 per month with the proposal to increase the
amount to $75 per month; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a strategic plan that strives to provide
competitive salary and benefits to attract and retain qualified employees; and
WHEREAS, it has been many years since the City Council last increased the
conversion amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, does hereby amend section 3.20(D) of the personnel manual to increase
the sick leave conversion to health club dues by $20 per month for a total of $75 per
month.
