CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) PORTABLE BASKETBALL HOOPS FOR
THE COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, Staff has met with the YMCA Staff members regarding replacement
of the two portable basketball hoops in the Community Center gym; and
WHEREAS, the City 2020 operating budget has the replacement of the basketball
hoops included; and
WHEREAS, Staff has received two quotes for the basketball hoops from Anthem
sports and BSN Sports; and
WHEREAS, the low quote was from BSN Sports for $15,749.47 for two (2) portable
basketball hoops including shipping; and
WHEREAS, the purchase will be funded from the Special Project Budget account
480-4180-7050 which includes $15,000 for the purchase of basketball hoops; and
WHEREAS, a budget adjustment of $749.74 will be need to cover the shipping
costs of the basketball hoops.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Approves the quote from BSN Sports of Dallas, Texas to replace the 2 portable
basketball hoops at a cost of $15,749.47 to be funded from account 480-4180-
7050, Special Projects budget and approves a budget adjustment of $749.70
to cover the cost of shipping.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized
and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or
convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
