ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Aukee, Curry, Kroeger, Kunz, Palm, Rundle Staff: Peterson | YMCA: Thomas 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Add 7C update on dog park. Motion to approve as amended by Palm, 2nd by Aukee, Motion passes 5-0 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES JUNE 27, 2019 Motion to approve by Aukee, 2nd by Arel. Motion passes 5-0 5. PUBLIC INPUT Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. Sherry Gunn @ Landmark Circle thanks the PRF Commission for our work at making the Splash Pad a success! 6. STAFF REPORTS A. YMCA- See attached report. Monthly memberships will replace punch cards. Daily rates will still be available. Community Resource Fair September 21- FREE event from 10 am-3pm. MVCC building closed Sept 3-8 for annual cleaning and maintenance. No one asked about missing Music and/or Movies-in-the-Park. B. Public Works-See attached report. Need to adjust entrances to tennis courts so they are ADA accessible. Consideration of changing parking on Edgewood Dr. to no parking on east side and/or create parking on north side. Check tree growth at Silverview pond. 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. City Hall Park - Veterans Memorial: City Council and Lions Club is supportive of moving forward with this. Meet before next month’s meeting to walk the City Hall grounds and look at location. Once we decide location, bring in a vendor to help with ideas of size and style. Motion by Palm, 2nd by Aukee to Meet at 6:00 at City Hall to choose a location for Veterans’ Memorial B. Comprehensive Park Plan: Random and Greenfield Park – Look at these elements for each park: park history, existing conditions, site inventory, permitted land use, accessibility, and park trends. Staff will pull as much information together as they can find for next month. C. Update on dog park from City Council: The City Council would like us to look into this. Consider north of Hillview where old Oakwood Park vs. Ardan Park. 8. NEW BUSINESS A. Forestry — update on City Program: EAB is coming. 95 trees have been treated on public and private land. 21 trees diagnosed through Mn. Dept. of Ag. as infected with EAB. City Tree inspector has found an additional 25 trees just in checking about ¼ of the city. 9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: No Commissioner reports. 10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINES: Fee schedule for 2020 11. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn at 7:43 PM by Aukee, 2nd by Rundle.
