CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE FINDINGS OF THE
ARDAN AVENUE DRAINAGE SUBDISTRICT ANALYSIS
WHEREAS, a drainage study of the Ardan Avenue area was
performed in the "Ardan Avenue Drainage Subdistrict" study dated Mar. 30, 1989
(1989 Study); and
WHEREAS, the 1989 Study proposed new trunk storm sewers
along both Ardan Avenue and Sherwood Road, as well as creation of a new
regional storm water detention pond; and
WHEREAS, the improvements proposed by the 1989 Study would
impact the area of the 2009-2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, for several reasons the City of Mounds View has
interest in investigating whether there is an acceptable alternative to the
improvements proposed by the 1989 Study; and
WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consulting engineer for the City on
both the 2009-2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project and the Local Surface
Water Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, on November 24, 2008 the City Council adopted
Resolution 7361 authorizing Bonestroo to perform an analysis of the Ardan
Avenue Drainage Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, Bonestroo has completed the analysis and has
presented the findings to the City Council in a written report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Report on the Ardan Avenue Drainage Subdistrict
Analysis performed by Bonestroo is hereby accepted, and
the findings of the Report are hereby approved.
2. The improvements recommended in the Report that fall
within the scope of the Street and Utility Improvement
Program will be incorporated into the projects of the Program
as appropriate.

3. The improvements recommended in the Report that fall
outside the scope of the Street and Utility Improvement
Program will be identified and included in the Local Surface
Water Management Plan for consideration of future action.
Adopted this 22"d day of December 2008.
