ESTABLISHING PARKING REGULATIONS FOR RED OAK DRIVE FROM COUNTY
ROAD 10 TO LONG LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2008 Resolution 7243 was adopted by the City
Council ordering the 2009-2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project, which includes
Red Oak Drive from County Road 10 to Long Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, on July 28, 2008 Resolution 7307 was adopted by the City
Council to approve several preliminary design issues for the 2009-2010 Street and
Utility Improvement Project, including the width of Red Oak Drive from Hillview Road to
Long Lake Road and the desire to have a parking lane along this street segment; and
WHEREAS, on August 25, 2008 Resolution 7327 was adopted by the City
Council to approve several additional design issues for the 2009-2010 Street and Utility
Improvement Project, including the side of Red Oak Drive along which the parking lane
would be located; and
WHEREAS, on September 22, 2008 Resolution 7336 was adopted by the
City Council to approve traffic calming elements to be included on the portion of Red
Oak Drive from Hillview Road to Long Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, on October 27, 2008 Resolution 7348 was adopted by the
City Council to approve the lane configuration and street width for the portion of Red
Oak Drive from County Road 10 to Hillview Road; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the 2009-2010 Street and
Utility Improvement Project have been prepared in accordance with the direction of the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, Red Oak Drive, from County Road 10 to Hillview Road, is
designated as Municipal State Aid Street (MBAs) 146-228-005, in the City of Mounds
View; and
WHEREAS, Red Oak Drive, from Hillview Road to Long Lake Road, is
designated as Municipal State Aid Street (MBAs) 146-241-001, in the City of Mounds
View; and
WHEREAS, state aid funds will be expended on the improvement of this
street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has submitted to the Commissioner
of Transportation the plans and specifications for the improvement of Red Oak Drive,
from County Road 10 to Long Lake Road in the City of Mounds View; and

WHEREAS, approval of the proposed construction project by the
Minnesota Department of Transportation must be conditional upon certain parking
restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
Parking shall be prohibited within the corporate limits on both sides of Red
Oak Drive, from County Road 10 to Hillview Road
(MBAs 146-228-005).
2. Parking shall be prohibited within the corporate limits on the east side of
Red Oak Drive from Hillview Road to Long Lake Road (MBAs 146-241-
001).
