Mounds View Community Center/YMCA Report
May 26th 2011
1. Current Programming News/Notes
a. Summer Parks Program- Registrations are being taken as we
speak and residents should act fast….numbers are shaping up
nicely…. Time is running out… sign up fast!
b. Summer Ball Programs- Registration is complete and numbers
are at an all time hight…..
c. TEEN NIGHT- Friday June 10th from 6:30-9:30pm at the Mounds
view Community Center. 6th-9th Graders are invited. Dancing,
Music, Obstacle course, Dodgeball, games, Xbox, Rock Band,
Teen Center tours and More… $5 at the door, $3 if you pre-register
at the Mounds View Community Center.
2. Facility Usage
a. Event Center- The Event Center usage is crazy right now…. We
have multiple bookings every weekend until September and plenty
of weekday bookings with school events, team events, corporate
events, etc….
3. Music in the Park
a. June 16th- North Suburban Concert Band
b. July 21st – Good Timin’
c. August 18th- Russell Schmidt
d. Start time 6:30pm this year
4. Staffing News
a. Leah Benson will be coming on board on June 1st as our new
Events Coordinator. Leah has years of experience in coordinating
events and in the customer service arena as well. Leah looks
forward to continuing the tradition of great customer service, event
variety and customer retention at the Mounds View Community
Center event center..
