APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Palm, 2nd by Long. Motion Passed 7-0 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Kunz, 2nd by Rundle. Motion Passed 7-0 A. November 19, 2015 5. PUBLIC INPUT Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. 6. STAFF REPORTS A. YMCA: See attached report. B. Public Works: See attached report. No ice rinks yet due to weather. Need to consider maintenance of brush around pond at Woodcrest Park. 7. UNFINISHED BUSINES A. Groveland Park –continue review, 2015 Improvements: Painting inside now, and pricing carpeting to come out of BBC funds. Playground is done. PARK IS CLOSED because work still needs to be done in the spring. B. Hillview Hockey Rink – continue discussion of layout, rink light repairs: No updates. Still waiting for pricing from contractor. C. City Hall Park - continue discussion on splash pad, playground, picnic area and shelters, rest rooms, changing areas. No updates. Still waiting on layout and cost options as well as funding sources. 8. NEW BUSINESS A. Appoint Chair and Vice Chair for 2016 Commission Meetings: Motion by Kroeger, 2nd by Long to recommend appointment of Aukee as Chair, and Arel as Vice Chair. Motion Passed 7-0. Palm will continue as Secretary. B. Random Park Building improvements: Needs interior and exterior work. Estimated budget $20K out of Park Dedication Fund. Could work on inside during winter and outside spring/summer. Direct Staff to get final pricing to bring back to the Commission. C. Greenfield Park Judicial Ditch 5 - re-profile work plans - Rice Creek Water Shed District: No updates. 9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: A. Long would like to see what the PDF balance was over the course of time. What was it like 10 years ago? 5 years ago? Etc. Where have we been where are we now? Where do we want to go? B. Kroeger: Are all lights on County Rd 10 LED? YES! 10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS A. Discuss Disc Golf Course Modifications at Silver View Park B. Need to discuss March 24th meeting being during Holy Week. To move a week ahead (March 17th/St. Patrick’s Day) or cancel the March meeting. 11. Basketball league brand new this year, 1 team, playing other YMCA. We will be hosting games and tournaments in the coming months. c. Volleyball league doubled in size from 2015, playing with local cities hosting games and tournaments as well. d. Cooking, Come Play with Me, Dodgeball and other great options. e. TLC, Kohl’s, Bel Rae at Feed My Starving Children Today!! 7A 2. Events a. Gymnastics meet again this year, most Saturday’s booked for 2016 3. Park Rentals a.
