Council Member Gary Meehlhause: A resident approached him to ask about reserving the full
court at Silverview Park for youth basketball leagues. Encouraged the Commission to consider
rental fees. Also look at needs of court repairs and parking lot issues.
6. STAFF REPORTS
A. YMCA: Brittany Wilson from MVCC: See attached report.
1. Concern about renting soccer field space to adults at Silverview. We need to check into
our past minutes to see what our position is on adults using the field. Do we give youth
priority for reservations and then let it open to whomever?
2. Question about reserving Silverview basketball court: Allow youth small group
basketball through Irondale Basketball to reserve for free 1-2 times per week (fee
schedule allows 1 per week, $5 for additional times), with the understanding we will
revisit in the fall with resident feedback if there are conflicts with others who may want
to share the court.

pollinating friends. Could be future agenda item.
