ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Aukee, Katovich, Kroeger, Kunz, Palm, Rundle, Staff: Erickson, Peterson | YMCA: Thomas 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Palm, 2nd by Kunz. Motion passed 6-0 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. January 26, 2017: Motion to approve by Kroeger, 2nd by Rundle. Motion passed 6-0 5. PUBLIC INPUT Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present. 6. STAFF REPORTS A. YMCA: See attached report. March 20-26 MVCC will be closed for complete cleaning 1. Coach of the year selection: Motion by Kroeger, 2nd by Palm to nominate Coach #2 as the Mounds View Coach of the Year. Motion Passed 5-0, Kunz abstained. B. Public Works: See attached report. 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. Discuss Disc Golf Course, Silver View Park: Trees have been cleared for a 9-hole course. Consider paver stones or artificial turf for the tee boxes. Commission prefers turf option. Eagle Scout will construct tee boxes and maps to post at each tee. Staff will construct goal baskets and mesh to protect high-value trees. B. City Hall Park - continue discussion on splash pad, playground, picnic area and shelters, (final plans to be presented to City Council at the March 6, 2017 Council Work Session) 8. NEW BUSINESS: NONE 9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: A. Mounds View Boulevard trailway lighting looks great! B. Freeway signs to Mounds View Boulevard will not be changed until the freeway has the MNPass lane construction in 2-3 years. C. Twin Cities Gateway Convention and Visitor Bureau is working on coordinating various events to neighboring 9 cities in the area. Mounds View is part of this Gateway project. 10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS ADJOURNMENT: Next Regular Commission Meeting: March 23, 2017 6:30pm. Motion by to adjourn at 7:36 PM by Rundle, 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 6-0.
