7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. City Hall Park - continue discussion on splash pad, playground, picnic area and shelter .
Council Member Gary Meehlhause: Feels that a portion of the playground replacement
should come out of the Park Dedication Fund-whatever we may spend to replace the
current playground in the next few years. The Commission has concerns about taking
money out of Park Dedication Fund since this was an upfront understanding that this
project would be financed through Special Project Fund and throughout our conversations
with the City Council. Direct Staff to get a rough estimate of cost to replace the
existing playground at City Hall in that space. That may be what the Commission would
agree to spend out of PDF to contribute to the project if the City Council were to expect
some monies out of PDF.
8. NEW BUSINESS
A. Master trail plan – discuss future trails-Need to have the Parks and Trails System Map
(March 2013) updated to match the Trailways System Master Proposal (Jan 2017).
