CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE
HOUSING/CODE/FIRE INSPECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION AND TITLE TO
FIREFIGHTER/FIRE/HOUSING/CODE INSPECTOR
WHEREAS, the City advertised the position of Housing/Code/Fire Inspector on
February 27, 2020 with Firefighting as a desired qualification; and
WHEREAS, on May 26, 2020, the City hired Isaiah Schoeman with five (5) years
of SBM Volunteer Firefighter experience which was a desired qualification; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schoeman desires to continue as a SBM Firefighter and respond
to fire and emergency calls as necessary during his employment at the City of Mounds
View; and
WHEREAS, as City Council desires to encourage and support staff to participate
in Volunteer Firefighting; and
WHEREAS, at this time staff has altered the Housing/Code/Fire Inspector job
description to accurately reflect duties of the position which include a title change to:
Firefighter/Fire/Housing/Code Inspector; and
WHEREAS, duties of Firefighter have been incorporated into the job description;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schoeman will receive Public Employees Retirement Association
Police and Fire (PERA P&F) benefits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
does hereby approve revisions to the Housing/Code/Fire Inspector Job Description
and Title to Firefighter/Fire/Housing/Code Inspector Position.
