CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZE SANITARY SEWER MANHOLE REPAIRS
WHEREAS, Public Works Staff investigated a potential problem with several
sanitary sewer manholes and discovered ground water entering the manholes; and
WHEREAS, Staff determined that the best method for repairs was to line the
manholes; and
WHEREAS, Staff contacted two companies to provide a quote to facilitate the
repairs:
• Innovative Foundation Supportworks $27,850.00
• Thul Specialty Contracting $22,375.00
WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Sanitary Sewer fund,
730-4823-7050, which includes $25,000.00 for manhole lining.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The City hereby approves the quote from Thul Specialty Contracting of Elk
River MN, for $22,375.00 for lining of several sanitary sewer manholes in the
City of Mounds View.
2. Funding will be from the Sanitary Sewer Fund, 730-4823-7050.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by
this resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized
and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or
convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
