CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
CODIFY CHANGE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH YMCA PARTNERSHIP AND
AUTHORIZE STAFF TO IMPLEMENT CHANGES TO EXECUTE
WHEREAS, The City has partnered with the YMCA for the past 20 years to
operate and facilitate the Park and Recreation program; and
WHEREAS, COVID 19 impacts resulted in a review of our current relationship;
and
WHEREAS, it was the consensus of the City Council at the October 5, 2020
Work Session to transition to a City operated Park and Recreation Department on or
about January 1, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by
this resolution.
2. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized
and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or
convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
3. The City Administrator and Staff are authorized to create job descriptions and
post for fulltime, permanent part time, and seasonal staff as needed.
