CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
Adopting the 2021 Property Tax Levy
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies
of the proposed 2021 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation meeting
on December 7, 2020 and at the several budget meeting to take comment on the proposed 2021 tax
levy; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Improvement Bonds and Notes will require debt service of $166,291 due to changes
in the allocation of costs between participating cities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following
property tax levy for 2021 is hereby approved:
General Fund base levy $ 4,666,859
Fire bonds and notes debt service 166,291
PERA rate increase levy 39,145
Police Referendum market value levy 2017 110,000
Police Referendum market value levy 2004 220,000
Total General Fund property tax levy $ 5,202,295
Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 150,000
2017 Capital Improvement Bonds Debt Service levy $ 413,984
Total Property Tax Levy $ 5,766,279
and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said
2021 property tax levy.
Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 14th day of December, 2020.
