CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AN INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM
FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for the building
maintenance at all City facilities, this includes the fire alarm and intrusion alarm systems
at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, during the annual fire alarm testing and maintenance, it was
discovered that the fire alarm panel and the intrusion systems were not functioning
correctly; they were tied together and the panel is obsolete; and
WHEREAS, Staff has received a proposal to replace the intrusion alarm system
and controls from Pro -Tech Design for $15,471.82.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Approves the proposal from Pro -Tech and Design of Minnetonka, MN to
replace the Intrusion Alarm System at the Mounds View Community Center at
a cost of $15,471.82 to be funded from Special Projects, 480-4160-3030.
2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this
resolution.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized
and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or
convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
