COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING BRAUN INTERTEC TO COLLECT PAVEMENT CORES AND
APPROVE STANTEC TO BEGIN THE STREET DESIGN FOR THE 2022, 2023
STREET PROJECT, (CITY PROJECT 2021-0O3)
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is considering the 2022-2023 Street Project
to include Pleasant View Drive and Spring Lake Road (as outlined on the attached map);
and
WHEREAS, Pleasant View Dr. is approximately 2,546 feet in length. Spring Lake
Road North of Mounds Blvd. is approximately 3,505 feet in length and maintenance has
included seal coating, pothole patching and skim coating as needed; and
WHEREAS, Spring Lake Road South of Mounds View Blvd. is approximately
4,050 feet in length and maintenance has included seal coating, pothole patching and
skim coating as needed; and
WHEREAS, Braun Intertec Corporation has provided a proposal for the 2022-
2023 Pavement Rehabilitation project for soil borings and pavement analysis of the
streets sections being proposed for re -construction at a cost of $10,140.00; and
WHEREAS, Stantec has provided a proposal for the 2022-2023 Pavement
Rehabilitation Project, these services are broken down into four main phases 1)
Preliminary Design, 2) Community Engagement, 3) Preliminary and Final Design and 5)
Construction Services at a cost of $416,900.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
The City hereby approves Braun Intertec Corporation of St. Paul MN to collect
pavement cores and perform pavement analysis of the streets sections being
proposed for re -construction at a cost of $10,140.00.
2. The City hereby approves Stantec's engineering services proposal for the
2022-2023 Pavement Rehabilitation project, these services are broken down
into four main phases 1) Preliminary Design, 2) Community Engagement, 3)
Preliminary and Final Design at a cost of $416,900.00.
3. Funding will be from the Street Improvement Fund, 485-4470-7050.
