STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A HONEYBEE -KEEPING LICENSE FOR
ANNE DONADIO, 7090 KNOLLWOOD DRIVE
WHEREAS, Ordinance 908, which amended Chapter 701 of the City Code,
allows for the keeping of beehives on properties zoned R-1, Single Family Residential;
and,
WHEREAS, Anne Donadio has submitted a license application to keep and
raise honeybees on her property at 7090 Knollwood Drive; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinance 908, applications shall be
considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Donadio has paid the appropriate fees, provided the City with
an approved site plan and provided proof of adequate training in Honeybee -Keeping;
and .
WHEREAS, this license may be revoked or denied by the City Council based
on negligence or nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council
does hereby approve a license for the keeping and raising of honeybees to Anne
Donadio on her -property located at 7090 Knollwood Drive and that the license will be
valid indefinitely contingent on the following:
1. Hive is located in the rear yard and set back at least ten feet from the
property line and the house and at least twenty-five feet from any public trail
or walkway.
2. No more than four hives are operating.
I Hive openings shall face in toward subject property's backyard.
4. A clean water source is provided on the property.
5. Equipment is maintained in good condition in accordance with accepted
best management practices.
6. Unused beekeeping equipment is properly disposed of or stored indoors.
7. Hives are operated continuously.
