I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified City Administrator of the City of
Mounds View, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the
attached and foregoing with the original thereof on file in my office, and the same
is a full, true and complete copy thereof, insofar as the same relates to:
CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 9453 ENTITLED, "RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING THE 2019 MOUNDS VIEW COACH OF THE YEAR, JESSIE
OPINE"

CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE 2019 MOUNDS VIEW
COACH OF THE YEAR JESSE OPINE
WHEREAS, the Mounds View Coach of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens
who have given unselfishly of their time by coaching Mounds View youth and are dedicated to
teaching sportsmanship and leadership skills to the youth of our community; and
WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and pending recommendation
by the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Commission; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine meets the outlined selection criteria; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship both on and off the
field; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine made the game fun for the children, creating games, but also
teaching fundamentals; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine knew every child by name and greeted them at every
practice, and made them feel comfortable by playing name games which helped to create
friendships; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine was so devoted to his duties that he would bring his own
whistle to the games and help the young officials if they were overwhelmed; and
WHEREAS, Jesse Opine does not expect anything in return for his actions.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby present the 2019 Mounds View Coach of the Year to Jesse Opine in sincere gratitude
and appreciation for his efforts as a Mounds View resident.
Adopted this 231d day of August, 2021.
