Home My WebLink AboutResolution 9459RESOLUTION 9459 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA Approving an On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for American Multi -Cinema, Inc. for AMC Mounds View 15, 2430 Mounds View Boulevard WHEREAS, American Multi -Cinema, Inc. has made application to the City of Mounds View for an On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License (including Sunday Sales and an optional 2:00 a.m. Liquor License) for the AMC Mounds View 15, 2430 Mounds View Boulevard; and WHEREAS, all new liquor license applications require a public hearing and approval by the Mounds View City Council; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held August 23, 2021; and WHEREAS, all applicable license application materials and fees have been submitted to the City; and WHEREAS, all property taxes and water/sewer charges are current; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement, the State licensing entity, requires that the liquor liability insurance be in force for the entire term of the Mounds View license period which is July 1 to June 30; and WHEREAS, at this time American -Multi -Cinema, Inc., can only provide insurance that runs from January 1 to December 31; and WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View will continue to work with American -Multi Cinema, Inc. to obtain insurance that is valid from July 1 to June 30 or consider revising the Mounds View City Code to reflect a liquor license period of January 1 to December 31. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby approve an On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License (including Sunday Sales and an Optional 2:00 a.m. Liquor License) for American Multi -Cinema, Inc. for AMC Mounds View 15, 2430 Mounds View Boulevard. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this license will expire December 31, 2021 to coincide with the liquor liability insurance provided by American Multi -Cinema, Inc.
