CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR
POLICE OFFICER POSITION
WHEREAS, a vacancy is opening in the Police Department due to a
separation effective December 9, 2021; and
WHEREAS, a need exists to advertise for a full-time, non-exempt Police
Officer position under the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor
Services, Inc. Labor Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the recruitment cycle for a Police Officer position may take
approximately three months; and
WHEREAS, the position is estimated to start in February of 2022; and
WHEREAS, flexibility will be granted with regards to the recruitment process
in order to allow accelerated or additional compensation to experienced officers; and
WHEREAS, the suggested pay range for the Police Officer position is as
follows:
Year 2022
Start 70% 1 Year 80% 2 Year 90% 3 Year 100%
$28.74 $32.85 $36.95 $41.06
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council
authorizes Staff to advertise for the upcoming vacancy for the Police Officer position.
