Home My WebLink AboutResolution 9516RESOLUTION 9516 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA TECHNICAL CORRECTION TO RESOLUTION 9490, AUTHORIZING FOUR (4) HOURS HOLIDAY PAY TO PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AS RECOGNITION OF EMPLOYEE DEDICATION IN 2021 WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has been fortunate to have a staff that supports the community in which they serve; and WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council wishes to show its appreciation to staff by granting four (4) hours of holiday time to all current regular part-time employees for recognition of their time and dedication to the community, to be included on employees timesheets for November 25, 2021, and paid on December 16, 2021; and WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council wishes to thank each department for their commitment to serving the public and following the core values as established within the City's Personnel Policies which are: • Work Ethic (cooperation and teamwork) • Positive Attitude (optimistic outlook) • Professionalism (conduct, behavior and attitude in a work environment) • Productivity (efficiency within the job) • Extraordinary Customer Service (exceed customer expectations) • Job Engagement (commitment to the position and the goals of the City) WHEREAS, the City Council believes retaining and motivating employees through employee appreciation supports employee job satisfaction, which in turn impacts cooperation and productivity. The result is to provide excellent public and customer service to better serve the interests of the citizens of the community; and WHEREAS, due to the administrative difficulty of tracking vacation for part-time employees, staff recommends resolution 9490 be amended to reflect that part-time employees will receive four (4) hours of holiday pay instead of vacation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Minnesota that the City of Mounds View authorizes the following as recognition or employee dedication in the year 2021: Four (4) hours of holiday pay to part-time employees to be included on employees' timesheets for November 25, 2021 and paid on December 16, 2021.
