RESOLUTION APPOINTING RENE MONTERO TO VACANT PUBLIC WORKS
MAINTENANCE WORKER — WASTEWATER POSITION
WHEREAS, a Public Works Maintenance Worker — Wastewater position became
available due to a resignation on March 18, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement requires jobs be
posted internally for five (5) working days; and
WHEREAS, staff advertised the Wastewater position internally and received a letter
of interest from one (1) candidate, Parks and Recreation Facilities Maintenance staff, Rene
Montero; and
WHEREAS, staff evaluated the candidate and recommends appointing Mr. Montero
to the vacant Wastewater position effective March 29, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Montero will start at Level A of the pay scale according to the 2020-
2022 Public Works Collective Bargaining Agreement and advance to Level B upon successful
completion of a one (1) year probationary period within the position.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council hereby
appoints Rene Montero to the vacant Public Works Maintenance Worker — Wastewater
Position effective March 29, 2022 at Pay Level A.
