A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COSTS OF ASBESTOS AND HAZARDOUS
MATERIALS REMOVAL
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) owns a property located at
8271 Long Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, the EDA desires to demolish the existing structure; and
WHEREAS, the EDA is required to hire a licensed asbestos and hazardous materials
contractor to remove any hazardous materials; and
WHEREAS, the EDA has received a quote from Sheltertech Corporation in the
amount of $7,970 requiring approval from the EDA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Economic
Development Authority authorizes Staff to make the necessary expenditures and any minor
adjustments that may be required as presented in the attached quote

SHELTERTECH CORPORATION, Licensed and Insured Asbestos Abatement Contractor, proposes to
perform work at the above referenced property per the Pre -demolition Inspection Report provided.
DESCRIPTION
1. Remove from the site and properly dispose of the following asbestos -related materials:
• 460 SF Wall Texture, Living Room
• 220 SF Ceiling Texture, Living Room
• 150 LF Window Glazing, Exterior
• 180 LF Window & Door Frame Caulking, Exterior
• 1,300 SF Transite Siding, Exterior
Price = $ 7,280.00
2. Remove from the site and properly dispose of non -asbestos hazardous materials per the pre -
demolition inspection report provided.
Price = $ 690.00
