STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR 2022-2023 STREET REHABILITATION
PROJECT ADDING CURB AND GUTTER TO PLEASANT VIEW COURT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 9561 authorizing T.A. Schifsky
& Sons Inc. to perform the 2022-2023 Street Rehabilitation Project areas J & K; and
WHEREAS, Staff found that the curb and gutter needed to be replaced on
Pleasant View Court, and was not included in the base bid; and
WHEREAS, Staff requested and received an cost Change Order from T. A.
Schifsky for the curb and gutter replacement for Pleasant View Court for a cost of
$38,457.00; and
WHEREAS, Staff reviewed the change order and proposed to the City Council at
the May 23rd City Council meeting to install curb and gutter and were directed to move
forward and to bring this item back to a City Council meeting for formal approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Accepts Change Order #1 from T. A. Schifsky for installing curb and gutter on
Pleasant View Court for a cost of $38,457.00.
2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to contract
modifications during construction of the Project on behalf of the City Council as per
the Purchasing Policy.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
