CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
ADVICE TO RAMSEY COUNTY CHIEF JUDGE LEONARDO CASTRO FOR MOUNDS
VIEW CHARTER COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
WHEREAS, there are four members on the Mounds View Charter Commission whose terms
expire on October 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the office of the Chief Judge of the Ramsey County Court, with requested
assistance from the City of Mounds View, advertised the vacancies; and,
WHEREAS, six Mounds View residents submitted applications to the court including two of the
four members whose terms expire on October 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council Strategic Plan includes a strong emphasis on being
a welcoming city for all by embracing cultural, generational, and gender diversity; and
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council expresses gratitude and appreciation to all the
candidates for their dedication to serving and feel all are qualified to serve on the Mounds View Charter
Commission; and
WHERAS, in making our recommendation we gave careful consideration to all applicants and
allowed our Strategic Plan goals to guide us in making our recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota that we submit the following names to Chief Judge Castro for his
consideration of appointment to the Mounds View Charter Commission.
